1st Edition
This is the first edition of SpaceFold a newsletter with resources, best practices, and thought leadership to help the journey of founders and emerging professionals.
Welcome
It's me, Julius Alejandro, your residential entrepreneur, strategist, and educator, and I decided to start a bi-weekly newsletter called SpaceFold. What's the meaning behind the name, SpaceFold? I'm a big sci-fi nerd! It comes from the faster-than-light travel you watch in sci-fi shows. For example, traveling from Earth to Mars would take about seven months. Theoretically, you can fold closer the literal space between Earth and Mars so that it would take a second or less.
This newsletter will help you lessen the travel time to get to your journey as a (insert what you do) in building your startup and/or aligning your passion with a career path. I'll share some of my updates and best practices with friends and colleagues.

Do I Have to Spend Money to Make Money?!?!
Before you go out and secure the bag 💰. You must build the infrastructure from the landing page, cool graphics, e-commerce, etc. You might be thinking, “Ah, spend money to make money.” True. But let me help you with some free online, no-code resources to get started before you reach the paywall for extra features, which is a good problem because that means you’re scaling.
Notion (project management)
Canva (for design)
Tally Forms (forms)
Gumroad (online store)
Typedream (landing page)
Calendly (scheduling)

Cover Letters…To Upload or to not Upload is the Question
When you apply for a job, and you are about to hit the "upload" button, you see below the "Upload Resume." asking you "Upload Cover Letter" with the added word. "Optional." What do you do? To not upload or to upload...Please do it. Upload a cover letter that articulates your abilities1. It tests how much effort you'll put into this job or not.
My friend Jonah Peake created an AI power tool to assist professionals in helping to navigate the process.
What’s happening
As stated below 👇🏽, I’m scaling my consultancy service. I’ll be filing it as an LLC. As of this 1st newsletter, I'm currently a sole proprietor and have been operating since 2018. I have stayed in this legal framework because I have a small clientele with personal and professional relationships, so I know the trust is strong.
But, since I want to scale up and take more clients, I want to protect myself, and an LLC is the best option. After my research, I’ll use the platform incfile to register. I already informed my CPA, and we have a transition plan, just switching systems for tax compliance.
